Founded in 1997, the Friday Golf Association (FGA) is a privately-run golf club that plays competitive stroke-play golf tournaments EVERY FRIDAY starting around 12 noon at various courses in the San Antonio area.
The FGA is comprised of players in ALL age groups and ALL handicap levels and receives significant green fee discounts at participating golf courses.

MEMBERSHIP
Membership in the FGA is available to all men and women 18 years of age or older and are for a calendar year only, with all memberships expiring on (December 31).
The FGA annual membership fee is $60 and includes the annual cost for each player to be signed up in Golf Genius and to have a current handicap index with the group.

It also provides extra benefits allowing players the opportunity to play in additional “games” and special events throughout the year.

In order to play immediately in ALL of the games offered within the FGA, a player must pay the membership dues and have a USGA-sanctioned handicap.
The FGA will accept GHIN or any other “verifiable” handicap and allow the player in all games with an adjustment to their index for the first three (3) rounds of play. Upon completion of the

The FGA will accept GHIN or any other “verifiable” handicap and allow the player in all games with an adjustment to their index for the first three (3) rounds of play. Upon completion of the 3rd round, the new member will have an official FGA handicap and that will be used without adjustment from the 4th round on.
Players that do NOT have a verifiable handicap index will be issued an official FGA handicap following the completion of three (3) rounds within the group. Once established, this HC index allows new FGA members to enter ALL of the games described above on their 4th round.
